Madly Stylish Parties: Garden Fairy 1st Birthday!

This past weekend was the garden fairy party!   Wow! What a fun party!  I was thrilled with how everything turned, but more importantly, so was my client and, I think, the birthday girl too!  Sorry to be a tease with just one picture but today was also the first day of school and I'm working on a dessert table for this weekend, and I've got to sort through the gazillion pictures I took......promise to bring more later this week!

Eye Candy: Farmhouse Tables

Elle DECOR
Over the summer our kitchen table literally fell apart while we had friends over for dinner.  No kidding.....just as I was about to serve dessert, the table caved in!!!   Now as I write about it, it was quite hilarious.....we were scrambling to catch as many plates and platters as we could possibly hold.  The kids came running in and they were laughing hysterically!  While we (OK, the husband) managed to fix it, we now know a new kitchen table is in our near future. And, I think it might be a farmhouse table.  With three kids, this is the kind of table that will wear and tear beautifully with no worries!

As I was perusing the web, I discovered this wonderful blog called Babs...love it!  They happened to have done a post on farmhouse tables, which have been speaking to me lately!  There's a certain beauty in their ruggedness and I love how they can take you from the day to day and to an elegant dinner.  Houzz, the other site that you see mentioned here, is a must if, like me, you love all things decor, interior design, constantly have a room in your house that needs work, or just like to dream of the possibilities!  They have a number of gorgeous farmhouse tables!

Here are a few that called to me :)......
Houzz....I love these colors!

This one is from Restoration Hardware and made of salvaged wood!  I imagine some colorful, funky chairs around this table!  Although quite beautiful, I nearly chocked when I saw it's price tag of $2,725! That's for when I have some spare change!

This is by far my favorite...I love the color, the clean lines and that it's paired with those black French bistro style chairs.  Wrap it up, please!  Better yet, can I can also get that kitchen to go with it!

Alas, a girl can dream.  Happy Friday!

Sneak Peek: Garden Fairy Party

These past few days I have been busy getting ready for a 1st birthday party.  It has been so much fun (ok, a little hectic too) pulling this party together in two weeks!  The client was an aboslute gem!  Once we settled on a theme and color scheme, she gave me the green light to run with it!

That's it for now!  I'll post pictures of the full party next week!

"Old Paris Meets Modern Fashion"

I still have not picked up my jaw after seeing this lovely spread on Style Me Pretty's from Inspiration to Reality! This aspect of their blog  is a "super cool way for vendors to turn inspiration boards into a dream photoshoot…chock-a-block full of ideas and steal-worthy details".  Every element in this wedding photo shoot is ab.so.lute.ly stunning!!  Before I show you the end result take a look at the inspiration board that set the tone!  You can see all the details on the Style Me Pretty blog!

As if the inspiration board wasn’t stunning enough!  Pull up a chair and sit for a while because you will gasp, ooh, and aah when you see what Azar over at Principal Planner took from inspiration to wedding dream come true.  Seriously, sit....and grab a tissue!  You'll be drooling all over these details!

How do you not love this dress...those feathers are to die for!
This is one my favorite details!!

Don't you wish you'd been invited?
