Cocktail Hour Treats
Probably my favorite part of a wedding, after the ceremony, is the cocktail hour. The bride and groom can relax, the guests are ready to mingle and everyone is just ready to party.
Cocktail hour brings lots of tasty treats and often, a signature drink. I love these min fish tacos and mini tequila shots.....the presentation is to die for! The straws go through the cork which help prevent spilling and looks fabulous at the same time. The little fish tacos sit atop a lime, infusing a little lime flavor. For a wedding or any event, remember, it's these little details that make all the difference!
Happy Wednesday!

Gorgeous Lilac Wedding
The stunning lilac florals in this wedding are just breathtaking. Flowers just have a way of transforming whatever they are adorning: cake, table, napkins, hair, you name it!
I found this over at a beautiful cliche and was blown away by these lilac beauties. The tablescape is perfect down to the littlest details. Take a look!

Spring Green Wedding Inspiration
A few weeks ago, I styled a spring inspired table for the Rooftop at Rockville Town Center Wedding Gala. I designed this inspiration board and created this table! I wanted a clean and very elegant feel that was simple and chic. Since I was inspired by the green apples, I went with the color palette of green, white and some silver. Using natural elements like the green apples can really make your design pop. I also went with apple green linen that was covered by the most exquisite lace I found at Jo-Anne's fabric. You can't tell from the picture but the the beading was sparkly.
Those beautiful rosettes I used on the cake came from a lovely little shop called Little Bits. They do not have a website but it is a gem of a store if you live in this area and are a baker or event designer. The apples were dipped in white chocolate that I also got from Little Bits. I worked with Blue Snail Stationary to design the menu cards and invites.
Excuse the quality of the pictures, my photographer was not able to make it so I took them myself.

Inspiration: Spring Wedding, Bridal Shower or Baby Shower
Yesterday, I posted this lovely cake on my FB page and told you how I was swooning over it.
Today, I bring you the wedding where it made it's mark and was highlighted on Style Me Pretty! This wedding is full of whimsical details that can be incorporated into a bridal shower or baby shower yet it is also quite elegant and chic. I love the pink and aqua tones, the lemonade stand, the lamp, and books. All personal items representing the bride and groom.
The table design is equally breathtaking.....
Here are a few more details but head over to Style Me Pretty has there tons more to ogle over!

Snow White Inspired Sweet Table
I had to share when I spotted this Snow White inspired sweet table on Belle Amour, blog dedicated to all things wedding. Debs, of Belle Amour, created the table to participate in a European sweets table competition hosted by Sweet Girly Mommy blog. Yes, she won!!!
First off, the wallpaper is one that I have loved but wondered how or where to use it...... as a backdrop for this table; it's just genius! It's perfect! My friend Claude, from Petite Fete, would appreciate this as well. She loves it too and she has a great eye!
The other element that I love is that this is inspired by a children's book, a fairy tale of course, but there is nothing childish about this! See for yourself then head over to Belle Amour to see the full posting with all the details.

Glenview Mansion Bridal Show
Yesterday, I was excited to participate in the Glenview Mansion Bridal Show.....what fun!!! Not only did I meet a few potential clients but I also connected with some talented and super nice vendors. I'll talk about them later in the week as there might be some collaboration on projects.
Glenview Mansion has an in-house event planning team so they do not typically invite event planners to the show. I was thrilled to be invited because of my dessert tables.
I styled a simple dessert table full of sparkly elegance. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
